The World Economic Forum (WEF) published the 19th edition of its annual report on international risks, the Global Risks Report 2024. It provides both a long term perspective (10 years) and a short term perspective (2 years) on risks.
According to the report, the top 5 risks within the next 2 years are:
- Misinformation and disinformation
- Extreme weather events
- Societal polarization
- Cyber insecurity
- Interstate armed conflict
