Toronto Transit Commission Wins RIMS ERM Award

Los Angeles – The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), Toronto's public transit organisation, received from the Risk Management Society of the USA (RIMS) the prestigious ERM Award of Distinction for the quality of its Enterprise Risk Management program. Mr. Mohamed Ismail, Principal Risk Advisor (second from the left on the photo), was present to accept the prize from the hands of RIMS Vice President, Strategic Initiatives, Mrs. Carol Fox (first on the left on the photo).
The Risk Management Society said: "Integrated throughout the governance structure of the organization, the Toronto Transit Commission’s (TTC) enterprise risk management program has contributed to streamlined processes, greater collaboration, improved safety and enhanced financial decision-making".

The Toronto Transit Commission is responsible for providing public transit in the City of Toronto, a city of 622 square kilometers in size, located in the center of the Greater Toronto Area, and with a population of 2.8 million people. The TTC serves this area with a grid network of four subway lines, 11 streetcar routes, and more than 140 bus routes.
